INTERNATIONAL LAW DISCOVERY & DISCLOSURE GROUP LAUNCHED BY INDUSTRY EXPERTS

Association bridges the gap between legal it and corporate compliance

Houston, TX (June 3, 2009) – Legal industry thought-leaders today announced the launch of a new not-for-profit organization called International Law Discovery & Disclosure (ILDD). ILDD is a professional association focusing on the intersection of emerging issues in the areas of international compliance, electronic discovery, records management and risk mitigation. The purpose of ILDD is to explore the convergence of these emerging areas, share information and education and promote best practices for companies, entities and their professional advisors.ILDD members include accounting firms, corporations, government, law enforcement, law firms and legal vendors.

Matthew Blake, founder and chairman of ILDD, stated, “ILDD provides corporate legal and law firm practitioners an avenue to easily connect, share, advise and educate fellow practitioners. It is pulling together the best of the best for roundtable discussions, educational conferences and social networking. Our members deal with international discovery and disclosure rules and laws daily and as corporations and communications continue to expand globally, this association's members will be well suited to handle complex issues directly or turn to other professionals in the network who have had experience handling some of the same challenges.”
